My research explores how modern institutions and principles, in general, and the nation-state, in particular, are reinvented in the face of planetary challenges.
Are there developments that indicate an understanding of the world that breaks with the conception that society equals national society and acknowledges the profound enmeshment of society and nature within a bounded planet? If so, where are these developments, what do they look like, and which possibilities do they open for what kind of future?
